In 24 hours I’ll be getting my bilateral neck dissection and thyroidectomy to remove all the cancer. I’m nervous and tearful today, but I’m trusting that God has gone before me and is in every detail of this journey. He is always good and always faithful. .
I also want to remind you that YOUR story matters. Please remember that, because you are no accident and you are loved. You might be going through some extremely difficult things in this life, but just know your suffering is temporary, your suffering is what grows you, and this pain in your life is an opportunity to rejoice. You are here for a reason and God is unfolding a beautiful story in YOU. Believe that and live it out. (1 Peter 4:12-13 NASB)
Love you all and thank you for being apart of this space and my life. Thank you for the sweet cards, thoughtful gifts, and for lifting our spirits during the past month. ❤️ Please feel free to message me with scriptures, prayers, or words of encouragement because I’ll need them all in the coming days. And don’t forget to wear your shirts tomorrow! ❤️ Lastly, I’m turning off my phone for the next few days but I promise to update everyone in due time ❤️❤️❤️
We do not need great men at all, we need good and saintly men. We ought not to seek after greatness, but after goodness and saintliness. Greatness is no real virtue, but goodness and saintliness are virtues. Greatness is only an illusion, but goodness and saintliness are realities. Christianity came to impress these realities on the human conscience and to sweep illusions away. - St. Nikolai Velimirovich ...
For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
A time to scatter and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.”
“So I decided there is nothing better than to enjoy food and drink and to find satisfaction in work. Then I realized that these pleasures are from the hand of God.” Ecclesiastes 2:24
“That’s the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone’s duty. God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing, whether good or bad.” Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
