~EveryBODY is amazing ~
6.5 years ago my life turned upside down. Hospital in hospital out but noo diagnosis. It was really tough for the 16 year old me. The frustration and confusion of not getting a proper diagnosis and just been put off as a mental problem was super tough. I became sicker and sicker over the years and felt really lost.
Finally a diagnose came jumping around the corner. It was such a relief, see I'm not mad, it's physical, hooray! Let's recover and go back to the sportive old me! Little did I know what the impact would be on my body and that it would result in 5 diagnoses all together. ~
After living for 9 months in London, I think I finally got back to myself. Version 2.0 I know better than ever what's important in life and what I want. I start to challenge myself again and search for goals that are really challenging but still achievable. My love for exercise is back and bigger than ever before. ~
Therefore I decided to do something completely out of my comfortzone. It signed up to run the vitality 10k with 1000 other amazing women. To be honest I'm really nervous.... But I feel like I have to do it. To show that you're beautiful and worth it no matter how you look, what you have to overcome and that you're body is capable of so much more than you think. Just never give up!♡
Although this is half marathon number 9 I think this is up there with the most nervous I’ve ever felt 🙈 I don’t feel my best prepared 😅 going to have to pull out my best mind tricks today!! 🤞🏻 ...

Here we go - another weekend, another race! 🏅
The Calgary Marathon is the kickoff of race season around here, and the @jugojuice 10k last year was both my first race and my first 10k!
The 10k distance is my favorite, and I’m doing several this race season and I’m both excited and nervous for tomorrow.
Training hasn’t been ideal, so tomorrow isn’t about a new PR (that’s for a later race) but I love the support from the community, the cheer stations, and the course (my fave is running by the zoo) so I intend to just maintain a steady pace, enjoy the run, and support my friends @lyndseyleighp and @lmbourbs who are joining me for THEIR first 10k races! 🏃🏼♀️
I’m participating in the Roundup Challenge this year too, a last minute decision after @jennydechamplain asked me to join her, and signed up for the 5K (walk) post 10k!
Fueled, as always, by ketones to rev me up and @nuunhydration to keep me going.
and when i got off the boat, i ran 4mi on trail & surprised myself w/ 9:30 pace 🏃🏻♀️☀️ ...
