A Valentine's Day variant for 7 Wonders Duel 😂
All's fair in love and war and board games... and 7 Wonders Duel is a great 2 player game. If you're a fan of 7 Wonders I'd definitely recommend this over the 2p variant of the original, I mean, what even is that?! So glad they brought this out instead!
Ok, the ultimate question... 7 Wonders or 7 Wonders Duel, which is your favourite? 7 Wonders is my most played game of all time so I feel like that says it all 😂
P.s If you haven't already seen today's Favourite Game Friday from @dicetower and @epicgamingnight , go take a look and see if you recognise a new face 😉 ...
Alliance Smuggler from Star Wars #imperialassault There’s quite a bit going on with this guy despite his non-descript appearance. One of my favorite characters in skirmish. Painted for Martin and Mark’s collections ...
Full review on the blog! Robin Hood and the Merry Men is a semi-cooperative game that walks the line between a euro game and a thematic board game. At it’s heart it is a worker placement game with players taking on the roles of popular Heroes such as Robin Hood or Jane Fortune, with their own bands of Merry Men to put to work defending Nottingham.
Use your Heroes and Merry Men to collect resources, steal from the rich to give to the poor, rob carriages and even compete in archery competitions. You can lay traps to capture and ransom guards, build barricades on the roads to prevent carriages full of taxes from entering the city and even help Merry Men escape the gallows. All in the name of gaining reputation and victory points.
This is not your usual semi-coop game, such as Dead of Winter or Shadows Over Camelot, where you are all working together with a hidden traitor in your midst. Instead, you are all competing against one another but you must still work together a little to ensure you don’t all lose the game together! If you allow the guards to over run the villagers or let the money on a road be completely depleted then you all lose and any victory points gained were all for nothing! 👿 Arkham Horror LCG 👿 I have wanted to review this one for a long time but it took me a while to be sure of what I was gonna say and here it is: I don’t like it....no.....I HATE it 🤭🤭🤭🤭
Everybody seems to love this game, it has a « god damn » 8.2 on bgg and a « f__ » 8.97 on TricTrac (french site), @zeegarcia is a big fan and I usually agree with him in most games. So, what is wrong with me ?!🥺.
Am I the only one who found the “bag of randomness” absolutely unfair and enraging? And where is the bag? Can’t they just put one in the box? (Grrrr) I think I would have prefer dices. I hate this bag. It just frustrates me 😤
Am I the only one who felt humiliate by the absurd difficulty of the game? As if the first box was designed just to make you lose and buy aditionnal content for the future🤬
And what about the rulebook? For $40 I expect manuals that are clearly written. In this one It’s a nightmare to find a precise answer. And the fact is the game asks for it: EVERY turn is broken into too many checks which means rules and mechanisms take center stage, pushing atmosphere off the stage 😩
It’s Inexcusable that you can't play any combination of investigators with the base game. The manual literally guides you to buy another core set. Again. 🤢
The deck- building element is almost non-existent. You're basically just taking a load of random cards and throwing them together to see if you win. Excuse me: if « the bag of randomness » lets you win. 🥴
Finally it has the flaw I hate the most in games : wayyy too much setup for a card game that is 90% random luck.🤮
I really did want to love this game, I Tried a dozen times to get into it, with soundtrack, fireplaces, alcohol sometimes, but I never enjoyed a single minute. This is really the ANTHITESIS of the sort of game I like: a repetitive mess with stupidly complex fidly rules and incredibly dull mechanics. I am completely mystified by how well-liked this game is. 🤯 .

Dice force un juego de gestión de ¿dados? Si lo has leído bien.
Cute set collection filler, involving less push-your-luck than the original #Herbaceous , now with dice and more decisions to make 🎲
The game scales very nicely thanks to the Rival Sprouts, @pencilfirstgames did a clever job on the ghost player 👌
A nice title on its own! ...
➡️"¿Cuándo volvemos a jugar?" Porque los talleres que llevo a cabo para jugar en familia no son solo para descubrir juegos. Son para descubrir un poco, más allá, sobre nosotros/as y las personas que queremos. 😍
