This one time, I went into the earth, and the ceiling glowed blue-green with bioluminescence, and the water of underground streams danced beneath my feet, and a silent cool draped over my body like a robe, and it all seemed like a dream.
But that’s the magic of our planet, really—that otherworldly moments and wonders DO exist. That the craziest forms of life we dare to imagine CAN soar, or float, or bound, or crawl somewhere along an edge of earth not far, galactically-speaking, from where we go about our everyday lives.
The trick is: it’s up to us to dream, to wonder, and to imagine. For, these sources of earthly inspiration may be there whether or not we see them, but the act of seeing makes believing. And when we believe, we can finally care for this wonderful globe that we call home.
