You CAN improve your running technique, although I would recommend to improve it with specific training like hill repeats, track work & drills. Too much of a „conscious“ intervention can disturb your natural biomechanics & even cause injuries.🏃🏼‍♀️
.
But still you should always have in mind what a perfect technique looks like.💪🏼
.
1. LEAN FORWARD
Avoid to „lean back“ (pic 1) with your torso, try to get the forward lean - that‘s what you do all the planking & crunches for! Don‘t bend „in half“ from your hip but tilt your whole centerline forward from your ankle to the head. 
Relax your arms & shoulders.
.
2. LEG ACTION
Your legs are doing 3 force-producing actions: push-off, knee drive & pawback.🐎
.
A. PUSH OFF the ground behind you (or even better: imagine it as PICKING UP your foot off the ground as fast as you can) with maximal force & strike the ground with your mid- or front foot. 
Try to hit the ground lightly- good running is springy & quiet.💥
.
B. The KNEE is DRIVEN forward (not upward) for horizontal speed. The length of the stride of course depends on the speed & distance you run.☄️
.
C. The PAWBACK is the last action. The front leg is now airborne & ready for touchdown. The shin swings out in a leg straightening action & is pulled backward, the foot contacts the ground. Try to keep your knees in line & make sure your foot strikes UNDER your knee (pic 2), not in front of it (pic 1).⚡️
.
My running technique used to be horrible as you can see in pic 1 (& I still have a looong way to go)! I didn‘t even realize it until now when I looked at older pictures & thought „daaamn girl“🤦🏼‍♀️

Noch 5 Tage bis zum @venloop 🎉🎉🎉. Gleichzeitig bedeutet es auch, dass ich heute meine letzte Woche mit dem Trainingsplan eingeläutet habe 🤭.
Und was stand da an einem Dienstag? Natürlich! Intervalle 💪😍. ➡️4x1000m in 4:56 mit je 3 Minuten Gehpause dazwischen.
Ich bin sooooo gespannt ob ich zusammen mit meinem persönlichen Tempomacher @canalrunner_tommywi mein selbstgesetztes Ziel erreichen werde 🤪🙏. Vielleicht lasse ich den Plan dann direkt für den @vivawestmarathon hängen 🙃.
Ansonsten habe ich mich heute sehr über mein neues Stirnband von @hadoriginals gefreut (selbstbezahlt)... Ein zweites kommt noch 😉.

Wszedł dzisiaj dobry trening, chciałem utrzymać tempo między 5:30 a 6:00 ale oczywiście się nie udało i było kilka kilometrów gdzie miałem tempo 5:20 😁 może nie było szybkiego biegania ale trzeba umieć utrzymać określone tempo a ja muszę jeszcze nad tym pracować 😜

Looking back at official race photos from this weekend I am in awe of the difference the last year has made. Not only did I lose more than 30lbs with RP I also gained speed in my runs. But looking at the pictures side by side I can see more than that. Running this year felt so much easier, I literally felt like I was cruising along, until my garmin told me I was running faster than I had set for my pace. So today for #transformationtuesday I am so grateful for #rpstrength  in helping me become an even faster runner and more confident on my runs..
