So things have changed... #throwbackthursday 😹❤️ ...

I’ve had quite a number of discussions recently with friends and clients from work about racing weight. For their performance and asking about my upcoming events too. .
While I agree that being lean is a good thing for racing. But, I don’t buy into the fact that being slim should come at the cost of having a strong and healthy body. .
I will be the first to admit, being around 77kg year round, I’m quite a bit bigger than other competitors at my level. However, I do eat relatively healthy for my meals and don’t eat too much take away, soft drinks or juices. I do like my snacks and the regular piece or two of chocolate. But I always feel I am a good weight for my size and maybe having a strong frame like I do helps with my resilience to be able to recover so quickly from races and race so regularly. .
In the photo on the left, I was 85kg. The photo on the right I was 78kg. 
I look a lot leaner in the photo on the right, but I’m not actually much lighter. I just have a stronger body. .
Too many people are going into calorie deficit and their bodies are eating away at important skeletal and muscular tissue. . 
I guess I’m saying that try and make good food choices, don’t binge too much but also don’t starve yourself because someone says you are carrying too much weight when you already feel healthy. .

🥗Green Peas
Protein: 8 grams per cup. These little green guys are nothing to sniff at. Not only are they a great protein source, but they’re also inexpensive and taste just as good frozen as fresh. Swapping out some of the expensive avocado in this guac makes it more budget friendly but still delicious.

Protein: 26 grams per cup. Cottage cheese is an excellent source of protein, but it's kind of boring on its own. In this lightened-up version of one of our favorite comfort foods, low-fat cottage cheese makes the dish feel decadent but keeps it nutritious. Skim milk and whole-wheat pasta round out the meal to make it—dare we say—healthyish.
